Silverburn Care Home will be celebrating Valentines Day in spectacular fashion by having a themed disco where the residents can enjoy some good music and some light refreshments. Music truly is the best therapy.
Our penultimate activity for the month of February will be a trip down to the bowling alley where the residents can enjoy a bit of competition. May the best player win.
Once again we will be joined by our Personal Trainer Kami during the month of February for various sessions. His classes bring great morale for the residents and for the staff.
Our final activity for the month of February is our DJ Disco with Graham. The staff and residents will come together either to have a singalong, to show of their moves or to enjoy some refreshments. Music is fundamental because of the togetherness it creates.
Throughout the month of March, Silverburn Care Home aims to continue holding meetings with our Residents to discuss ideas they might have in detail. After all that is what Person Centred Care is all about.
One of the greatest luxuries is being able to go to the movies and throughout the month of March, the residents of Silverburn Care Home will be treated to Movie Afternoons. From classics to musicals and so much more.
Crafting is the art of turning ordinary objects into extraordinary things and there will be lots of opportunity for the residents to take their ordinary objects and create something amazing. We can't wait to see where their ideas take them.
Throughout the month of March, the residents will be treated to outings at the local pub and the art galleries. They will also have the opportunity to go shopping, play mecca bingo and attend fine dining. The best thing about life is that it's meant to be enjoyed.
The residents will once again be treated to a concert by one of our wonderful singers Angela. After all music is to the soul what words are to the mind and we all agree that music is enough for a lifetime.
Music means different things to different people and sometimes even different things to the same person at all stages of life. Here at Silverburn Care Home, the residents get to experience different types of music and Neilston Strings is certainly different.
During the month of March, the residents will be introduced to our new entertainer Lisa who is going to perform and as the famous quote says, the true beauty of music is the way it connects people.
During the month of April the residents of Silverburn Care Home will be taking their monthly trips down to the local pub for a chat, a sing song and of course a light refreshment.
